Articulation of high school classes to MCC

Earning extra credit takes on a whole new meaning thanks to provisions of an articulation agreement between Montcalm Community College and your high school. By acquiring articulated credit, you could:
  • Earn college credit now with classes you're taking today.
  • Avoid repetition in college courses of material you were exposed to in high school.
  • Reduce the cost of a college education.
  • Take advantage of opportunities for advanced study.
What is Articulation?
Articulation is a process in which students earn college credit for certain courses they take in high school or at their career center. In order to qualify, students must demonstrate competency or achievement levels (minimum 80%) from high school in all classes for which articulation credit is being requested. The student must enroll at Montcalm Community College within 26 months following high school graduation.

How do I get credit for eligible courses?
Check with your local high school counselor to determine which courses are eligible for articulation, and view a list of Articulation Partners on this site.  Select the name of your high school or career center to view the titles of courses that you may articulate. Ask your high school to forward a program articulation application, student competency list, and high school transcript to the Montcalm Community College Enrollment Services Office.

Complete the Steps to Getting Started at MCC. When these steps have been completed any classes that articulate to MCC will be listed on your transcript, which you may view on My Montcalm.
