MCC hosts Tim Skubick on Oct. 18

Tim Skubick, anchor and producer of the weekly public television series “Off the Record,” will bring a town hall meeting to Montcalm Community College’s Greenville campus on Oct. 18.

Tim Skubick will speak at MCC’s Stanley and Blanche Ash Technology and Learning Center in Greenville on Oct. 18.

Through his entertaining style and interaction with the audience, Skubick will offer insights about candidates and help participants understand a variety of election issues. The presentation will be at 7 p.m. in room M129 in MCC’s Stanley and Blanche Ash Technology and Learning Center, formerly the M-TEC. Admission is free and pre-registration is not required.

Skubick has been covering Michigan government and politics for 38 years, making him the longest-serving capitol correspondent in state history. In addition to “Off the Record,” he covers the capitol for WJBK-TV2 and WWJ NewsRadio 950 in Detroit. He was recently inducted into the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame, and he has earned four Emmy’s for his Public TV work. In addition to this blog, he writes a weekly political column for 24 statewide newspapers, including The Daily News in Greenville, and he has written two books on Michigan politics. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Michigan State University.
