Classroom
lecture, simulated labs, and supervised clinical experience
in acute, long-term, and home care facilities are combined
to provide the basic nursing skills and knowledge necessary
for the student to give patient care appropriately and safely.
Upon successful completion students are eligible for employment
in acute, long-term, or home care facilities and to apply
for the State of Michigan Competency test. This course can
also be used to articulate into the nursing program at Montcalm
Community College. |
A
felony or an attempt to commit a felony within the last 15
years or a misdemeanor involving abuse, neglect, assault,
battery, or criminal sexual conduct or involving fraud or
theft against a vulnerable adult within the last 10 years
may prevent students from registering and/or completing this
program. A criminal history check will be conducted
before students are allowed into clinical agencies. |
