This 10-credit-hour job training certificate
program will give the student the tools necessary to obtain
an entry-level job in the retail industry. The courses focus
on skills needed to obtain employment, skills for dealing
with customers, and the retailing industry.
Students
will also be required to take DVED160 (Arithmetic Review I),
or satisfy this requirement by earning a 35 or greater on
the ASSET Numerical Skills test or 24 or greater on the COMPASS
Pre-Algebra test. WorkKeys equivalents would also be acceptable.
