PERSONAL:
Hmmm…Well. I am a pretty open book and would likely tell you more than you ever wanted to know at the slightest provocation.
I grew up in the Nashville, TN, though I have all but lost my accent over years living in “the North”. I am a Christian who thinks the Big Bang theory and evolution are reasonable scientific explanations for the mechanisms of creation, but humanity is the purpose of creation. My beautiful wife Laura and I have three children: Caleb(10), Julianna(7), and Annasophia(2) and one cat - Louie. We live in Lansing, so I get to commute for now. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and raising a family, but as time allows I also enjoy hiking, biking, playing chess, astronomy, computer programming, softball, working on really tough puzzles, and occasionally playing XBOX.
My goals in teaching are: (1) to demonstrate a courageous and encouraging spirit (2) to help others to think with precision and clarity and (3) facilitate discovery about the universe, humanity, and oneself.
