PERSONAL:
Mr. DeLong received MCC's Outstanding Faculty Award in 1985 and
again in 2001 and was listed in Who's Who Among American's Teachers
in 1998 and Strathmore's Who's Who Millenium Edition (2000-2001).
He is active in community theater with MCC Fine Arts Department,
the Flat River Community Players and the Bottom's Dream Theater.
He is active as an actor and as a director. He raises & trains
hunting dogs and both competes in and judges in bird dog field trials.
He is President of the Montcalm Adult Reading Council's Board of
Directors as well as being both a tutor and tutor trainer. Mr. DeLong
lived for four years in Argentina and has traveled to Mexico, Ecudor,
Chile and the Czech Republic. He enjoys back packing and camping,
fishing and grouse and woodcock hunting. He volunteers as a youth
soccer coach, a literacy tutor and with Habitat for Humanity.
