PERSONAL:
Carolyn Johnson has been a professional artist/craftsperson since
1975. After working in two dimensional media, she created
a business in three dimensional small sculpture and jewelry.
She has done exhibitions, art fairs, and is represented in a number
of galleries from Kansas City to New York City and Minneapolis to
Miami. She enjoys traveling and visiting museums, galleries
and art fairs.
One of Carolyn's great loves is the theater, both as a participant
and as an audience member. She has directed and performed
in area theater productions. She has been active in the Flat
River Community Players, Bottom's Dream Theatre, where she directed
The Glass Menagerie and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern
Are Dead, and has served as drama coach for Greenville High
School, directing The Miracle Worker in 1996. For
several years she has produced and directed Bubbylonian
Encounter, a play about the sense of touch performed for area
elementary schools.
Carolyn collects antique typewriters, postcards and fountain pens.
She is a "bleeding-heart liberal and a Macintosh computer fanatic."
She lives on a lake with her daughter, Jordan, and two cats.

ideas."
