She is a member of the Michigan and National Councils of Teachers of Mathematics, a member of the Michigan and American Mathematics Associations of Two-Year Colleges and a member of the Mathematics Association of America. Her hobbies include bowling, camping, computers and reading. She is married to Jim Roy and they have two daughters, Jessica and Julie.
