Presidential Search

Montcalm Community College is interviewing three finalists for the position of President on May 6, 7 and 8. As Chief Executive Officer of the college, the President has the broad responsibility for the operation of the college. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the President is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for efficiently executing Board policy. 

 

Presidential interview schedule:

Community forum - Community members are invited to meet each candidate the day of their interview from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in rooms D303-305 in the Beatrice E. Doser Building on MCC's Sidney campus.

Open interviews - Anyone may attend the candidate interviews with the MCC Board of Trustees each day from 5 to 6 p.m. in rooms D303-305 in the Beatrice E. Doser Building on MCC's Sidney campus. 

 

Monday, May 6 – Dr. Sandra Kiddoo

Dr. Kiddoo currently serves as President of Northland Community and Technical College in Minnesota and has more than 22 years’ experience in higher education. As part of the Minnesota State College and University System, Northland is a comprehensive community college offering both technical and transfer degree programs with about 4,000 students. Before joining Northland, Dr. Kiddoo served as Chief Academic Officer at Hazard Community College in Hazard, Kentucky; as Vice President of Academics at Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; as Associate Vice President of Instruction, Education Director-Transportation and Electronics at Wisconsin Technical College System in Madison, Wisconsin; and as Workforce Education Manager at Roehl Transport in Marshfield, Wisconsin. She has also served as adjunct faculty in the areas of economics and management. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business and Administration from University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, a Master of Science in Education-Instructional Design from Capella University and a Ph.D. in Education Leadership and Policy Analysis from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is an accomplished fundraiser, presenter and author. She also serves on several local, regional and state-level boards and committees and has volunteered with a variety of service organizations.

 

Tuesday, May 7 – Dr. Jon H. Connolly

Dr. Connolly currently serves as President and Associate Professor of Environmental, Biological, and Horticultural Science at Sussex County Community College in Newton, New Jersey, which is a public two-year community college with about 2,300 students. With more than 30 years’ experience in higher education, Dr. Connolly has served in a variety of roles including Faculty Associate at University of Maine; Associate Professor, Chief Academic Officer and Associate Dean in the School of Sciences and Humanities at Husson University in Bangor, Maine; Dean of Instruction, Division of Math, Science and Healthcare at Lone Star College in Kingwood, Texas; Vice President, Academic Affairs, at Sheridan College, Gillette College in Sheridan and Gillette, Wyoming; and Vice President and Dean of Faculty at Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield, Maine. He earned a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from University of Maine; a Master of Forest Science from Yale University and an A.B. in Biology and Geology from Colby College. He is an accomplished fundraiser, researcher, author and speaker.

 

Wednesday, May 8 – Dr. Bradley J. Barrick

Dr. Barrick currently serves as Executive Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma, which is a public 2-year college with annual enrollments of about 13,000. Dr. Barrick began his higher education career at Rose State in 2021 and previously served the college as its government liaison and as a professor teaching both in-person and online classes in topics such as marketing, public relations and public speaking. He also serves as a Chaplain with the Army National Guard. For 11 years, he served as the associate pastor of the First Assembly of God in Enid, Oklahoma, before joining the college. He earned a Doctor of Ministry from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from Oral Roberts University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Central Oklahoma. He also serves on several local, regional and state-level boards and committees.
