Are you READI to take online coursework?

Whether you are considering an online course or a classroom course with an online component, READI is a fun, web-based way to assess your likelihood of success. It also provides resources to help you improve areas that indicate a weakness.

READI includes five major assessment components that measure:

• Technical competency (such as your ability to use required hardware, software and the internet)
• Reading comprehension
• Typing speed and accuracy
• Preferred learning styles
• Individual attributes (such as time management and availability, initiative and persistence, and self-discipline)

READI will take about 25 minutes to complete and the results will be immediately available to you.

Save a copy of your results. You may want to refer to them during your coursework. Your instructors may also expect to review them.

Privacy information and consent: I acknowledge that by taking the READI assessment that I am allowing my scores to be viewed by selected staff at Montcalm Community College (MCC). I understand that this information will only be used to assist me in evaluating my readiness to succeed in MCC courses. I also understand that the data may be used in aggregate form as part of data to measure student success. I recognize that my contact information (as protected under FERPA) or results identified with my name will never be released to a third party for any reason.
