Visiting the Trails

Montcalm Community College in rural Sidney, Michigan sits on over 200 acres. The MCC campus is an active area and the trail system is only one of many areas that you might visit in this area. In the activities building, you will find our fitness center, and gym, that includes a climbing wall and a pool all of which is often open to the public. Also in the activities building is our cafeteria and bookstore which are open during the work week. On the west side of the MCC Campus sits Heritage Village which is a coordinated collection of local buildings of historical value that have been moved to the MCC Campus to recreate a village of Montcalm County yesteryear.

There is ample parking available at MCC and there are several access points to the trail system. The primary trail head is located on the north east side of the tennis courts on our campus.

If you are visiting the trails, you might want to include some insect repellant and footwear appropriate for outdoor recreation of the season. The trails are not paved and some go through some grassy areas. There are a few benches placed throughout the trail system that will allow for a short rest or to just enjoy the environment.

The trails are open for you to enjoy. To make sure that the trip of others is as enjoyable as yours, please make sure that what you bring into the trails, you take out of the trails.

Camping accommodations at MCC are not available, however there are commercial campgrounds in the area and there are motels in Greenville and Edmore.
