MCC offers noncredit courses in July

Learn blacksmithing basics, prepare for the GED and more through Montcalm Community College’s noncredit career and personal development courses.

Community Enrichment

Learn the basics of blacksmithing and how to obtain the equipment needed to start blacksmithing at home in “Introduction to Blacksmithing.” The class meets Mondays and Thursday, July 16-26, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Bill Braman Family Center for Education on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $225.

Health Care

Health care professionals can learn to recognize several life-threatening emergencies and to provide CPR, use an AED and relieve choking in “CPR/BLS Health Care Provider.” The class meets July 9 from noon to 5 p.m. in the Kenneth J. Smith Instructional Building on MCC’s Sidney campus. The cost of $75 includes a book, mask and card.

Test Preparation

Review math basics and master the skills required to pass Test 5 in the GED test series in “Prepare for the GED Math Test – ONLINE.” The class is available monthly, including July 18, Aug. 15, Sept. 12, Oct. 17, Nov. 14 and Dec. 12. The cost is $90.
