September Noncredit Classes

Learn CPR, painting with watercolors, welding art, mixed media, stained glass and creative writing during Montcalm Community College’s September noncredit courses.

“Plein Art Watercolor” involves capturing colors, textures and light in the moment. The course is Sept. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. on MCC’s Sidney campus. The cost is $50. The course is also being held Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on MCC’s Sidney campus. 

“Heartsaver CPR AED” teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR and how to relieve choking. The course is Sept. 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $65. 

“Welding Art” will take your vision of a metal art object and convert it into a real, steel object. The course runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from Sept. 12 through 28 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $125. 

“Medicare Made Easy” teaches the ABCs and D of Medicare, and how to make the most of your Medicare benefits. The course is Sept. 13 from 6 to 7 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is free, but pre-registration is required. 

“Calming Computer Jitters for Seniors” is an introduction to the computer, social media, Zoom meetings, word processing and emails, safety, and shopping online. The course is Sept. 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $35. 

“Mixed Media for Kids” develops wonderful works of art by mixing together art mediums within a single composition. The course is Mondays from Sept. 18 to Oct. 9 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $30.
