October Noncredit Courses

Learn about our 50 states, acrylic pour, dental assisting, places less traveled, first aid and stained glass during Montcalm Community College’s October noncredit courses.

“Montcalm’s Lost, Forgotten & Unforgettable Places” is a three-part series that explores Montcalm County township by township. The course is on Oct. 4 and 8 and Nov. 1 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $65. 

“Getting to Know Our 50 States” takes a look at each of our 50 states along with the distinct contributions of each one to our American fabric. The course is Oct. 5 and 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $40. 

“Introduction to Acrylic Pour – One Day Workshop” teaches the basics of acrylic pour. The course is Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $35. 

“Dental Assisting Program” prepares students for entry-level positions in one of the fastest growing health care positions. The course is on Mondays and Wednesdays from Oct. 9 to Dec. 6 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on MCC’s Sidney campus. The cost is $1,499. 

“Art Around the World” will explore and create art from around the world. The course is on Mondays from Oct. 16 to Nov. 6 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $30. 

“Pharmacy Technician Program” prepares students to work as a pharmacy technician in a retail or other pharmacy setting. The course is Tuesdays and Thursdays from Oct. 17 to Dec. 7 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on MCC’s Sidney campus. The cost is $1,499. 

“Places Less Traveled” takes a look at each of our 50 states along with the distinct contributions of each one to our American fabric. The course is Oct. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $25. 

“First Aid” covers first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies and environmental emergencies. The course is Oct. 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on MCC’s Sidney campus. The cost is $65. 

“Beginner Stained Glass – Butterfly” teaches the art of stained glass and students will leave with a project to share with friends and family. The course is Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $65. 

“Forming Your LLC or DBA” will discuss business entities and explain the documents needed to form and register a business. The course is Oct. 24 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is free. 

“Stamp-a-Stack” will teach simple stamping and paper crafting techniques that can be easily applied to future projects. The course is Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $39.
