Montcalm Community College offers a variety of summer camps for youths of all ages. Individual camp descriptions, including direct links to register for each, are listed below.

A completed and signed waiver form is required for each person enrolled in MCC's summer camps. Please complete the waiver form linked to the right. 

 

MCC Summer Camps Scholarship Opportunity

 

The MCC Summer Camps Scholarship will pay 50% of the cost of up to three camps per child per year, and there is no limit on the number of children per family. This scholarship provides support to families experiencing financial hardship. Funds are provided by the Montcalm Community College Foundation.

Dinosaur Explorers Camp

Greenville Campus

THIS CAMP IS NOW FULL!

 

Welcome to Dinosaur Camp, an exciting adventure designed for young paleontologists entering 3rd thru 5th grade! Over the course of three hours, children will immerse themselves in the fascinating world of dinosaurs, sparking their curiosity and imagination.

Participants will engage in hands-on activities, including a thrilling bone excavation where they will dig for "fossils" and learn about the different types of dinosaurs that once roamed the Earth. Campers will explore the basics of paleontology, including how fossils are formed and what they tell us about prehistoric life.

Through interactive games, storytelling, and creative crafts, children will develop teamwork skills and enhance their understanding of science in a fun and engaging environment. Each young explorer will leave with a newfound appreciation for these magnificent creatures and a special keepsake to remember their adventure.

 

Children entering 3rd through 5th grade.

Camp Director is Andrea Martin. The cost is $35.  A signed waiver form is required for all camps.

Art is Everywhere Camp

Greenville Campus

THIS CAMP IS NOW FULL!

 

Unleash your child's creativity in our engaging 90-minute class, "Art is Everywhere," designed specifically for young artists entering 1st through 2nd grade. This hands-on camp invites children to explore the world of painting and drawing, allowing them to experiment with various styles and mediums.

Throughout the session, participants will engage in fun and interactive activities that foster artistic expression and imagination. Children will learn fundamental techniques while discovering their unique artistic voice. From watercolors to pastels, each medium offers a new adventure, encouraging students to express their thoughts and feelings through art.

This beginner-level course is perfect for those new to artistic endeavors or looking to expand their skills. Not only will students create their own masterpieces, but they will also develop confidence and a deeper appreciation for the arts. Join us for a colorful journey where art truly is everywhere, and watch as your child's creativity flourishes!

BotBuilders 2 Camp

Greenville Campus

 

Continue the fun of BotBuilders with BotBuilders 2. Students will begin where BotBuilders left off. Using reusable robotics kits students will build multiple robot types. Build a robotic arm to move objects, and a bulldozer to move objects. Students will program their robot to use sensors for fully autonomous robots.  This summer camp is an immersive experience designed to propel students’ interest in the work of STEM and take them to the next level in robotics.

 

Youth entering 5th through 8th grade.

Taught by Joe Carmon. The cost is $50. A signed waiver form is required for all camps.
