Join us for an engaging presentation by Nicole Dwyer, a Central Michigan University student, as she explores one of Michigan’s most significant environmental crises. In 1973, a toxic flame-retardant called polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) was accidentally shipped to a livestock feed mill in Michigan—mixing into animal feed and contaminating milk, meat, eggs, and more. This widespread environmental health crisis affected millions and led to farm quarantines and lasting health and ecological impacts. Bring your lunch and your questions to the Library at 12 noon on Monday, January 26, for this student-led presentation.
