Runners battled through rainy conditions on Saturday, Sept. 19, during the 11th annual Bramble Ramble 5K run/walk and the 8th annual Michael J. Seaman Memorial 10K Run. 

The 26 participants started at the Robert E. Marston Pavilion on Montcalm Community College’s Sidney campus and ran through the designated route, which is highlighted by the Montcalm Heritage Village and the Kenneth J. Lehman Nature Trails. 

The trails offer more than four miles of paths marked with numbered posts and maps which are available at most major trail heads. The course was a mix of flat, wide trails and narrow, wooded hills; pavement; and open fields. 

Logan Paul, an ITS Systems Analyst at MCC, claimed first place in the 5K with a finishing time of 23:22.
