MCC offers noncredit classes in November

 

Learn about religion, poetry, piano, guitar, drawing, stained glass and paper crafting during Montcalm Community College’s November noncredit courses.  

Advance registration is required for all courses. Some courses may have a list of materials, or a textbook may be required. Visit montcalm.edu/career-development for course details or a link to register online or call MCC’s Greenville campus at 989-328-1012 for more information.  

“Survey of World Religions” examines the history, beliefs and practices of religions. The course is on Thursdays from Nov. 2 to Nov. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. on the Greenville campus. The cost is $75. 

“Creative Writing: Poetry Seminar” will help writers sharpen their skills in verse, both free and structured. The course is Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the Sidney campus. The cost is $25. 

“Instant Piano for Hopelessly Busy People” will teach the secrets of the trade to give years of musical enjoyment. The online course is Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The cost is $60. 

“Instant Guitar for Hopelessly Busy People” will teach some basic chords and have you playing your favorite songs right away. The online course is Nov. 4 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $60. 

“Writing a Business Plan” will guide you through writing each section of a successful business plan. The course is Nov. 7 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the Greenville campus. The cost is free. 

“Painted Bottle Luminary Workshop” will teach how to create a unique hand painted luminary out of a recycled wine bottle. The course is Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the Greenville campus. The cost is $30. 

“Drawing Mythical and Magical Creatures” will teach how to draw unicorns, dragons and creatures from the fantasy world. The course is on Mondays from Nov. 14 to Dec. 4 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on the Greenville campus. The cost is $30. 

“Beginner Stained Glass – Dragonfly" teaches you the art of stained glass and will give you a project to take home. The course is Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Greenville campus. The cost is $65. 

“Stamp-a-Stack" teaches simple stamping and paper crafting techniques and you will create handmade cards to take home. The course is Nov. 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. on the Greenville campus. The cost is $39.
