Learn about chakra alignment, dreams, snow globe making and more during Montcalm Community College’s November noncredit courses.

Learn about the energy centers of the body, how to recognize when your chakras may feel out of balance and practices to help you reconnect with yourself energetically during our Chakra Alignment & Spiritual Protection class. Explore grounding techniques and simple tools for creating a daily spiritual hygiene practice. Learn the importance of caring for your energetic bodies just like we take care of our physical bodies. This class will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, Nov. 7 on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $45. 

Learn general skills in suicide prevention, cost-free, in this upcoming noncredit course. QPR training teaches community members to recognize and respond to mental health crises using the approach of Question, Persuade and Refer. The 1.5-hour training will include information on the unique challenges individuals face that can lead to stress, depression and suicide and information on how to help someone at risk of suicide. The virtual class is on Nov. 9 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Participants will be emailed a virtual Microsoft Teams meeting link one week prior to the training. 

Explore dreams, symbols and intuitive messages during our Dreams & Synchronicities: Discovering the Language of Spirit class. Learn practices for working with your dreams, connecting with your spirit guides and creating your own personal dream dictionary to understand the unique language of your subconscious and intuition. Learn ways to work with recurring dreams or nightmares and an introduction to lucid dreaming practices to help cultivate greater awareness while dreaming. Please bring a journal and a pen. The class will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Nov. 14 on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $35. 

Create your own snow globe during our Christmas & Winter Stained Glass class. Come with a simple winter or holiday design idea and use colorful glass to bring it to life. No experience is necessary. Your finished snow glove will be taken to the instructor’s studio for kiln firing and will be available for pickup during the next scheduled class time on Dec. 5. This class will take place on Nov. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $70.
