MCC’s Alumni & Friends Choir presents ‘Vintage Christmas Classics’ concert on Dec. 6

Montcalm Community College’s Alumni & Friends Choir invites you to get into the holiday spirit with a family-friendly concert of “Vintage Christmas Classics” on Saturday, December 6, at 3 p.m. at the Greenville High School Performing Arts Center.

Sponsored by the MCC Foundation Stanley & Blanche Ash Community College Enhancement Fund, the choir will perform many favorite Christmas songs from the 1920s through the 1970s. Songs will include beloved characters like Frosty, Rudolph, Suzy Snowflake, the Chipmunks, the Grinch, and, of course, Santa Claus himself! Audience members are encouraged to join the fun and wear their favorite Christmas sweaters. The concert will end with an audience singalong.

“We’re excited to invite families to this free concert to hear these great songs from several different eras,” said Director Valerie Vander Mark. “We have shifted the performance time to the afternoon to encourage more families to come and enjoy the Christmas classics together, and we’ll have a few pleasant surprises in store.

“We also are hoping to fill an urgent need in the community by encouraging attendees to donate nonperishable food items as a way to help the less fortunate,” she added.

Tickets are free but reservations are encouraged. Visit gapac.ludus.com and click on “Buy Tickets,” or call 616-225-6109 to guarantee specific seats.
