This trip will be open to students and community members. Community members will be allowed to register after the initial student registration period has ended.
Cost: Estimated to cost $1,800 - this includes transportation, lodging and food
This short-term study away course uses travel and experiential learning to engage students in an exploration of cultural perspectives and regional awareness. Through visits to selected destinations, students examine how location, history, people, institutions, and environmental conditions interact to influence diverse ways of life. The course also emphasizes cultural awareness, self-reflection, and the deepening of one’s worldview.
This trip will count as a 3-credit course in ANTR 272, BIOL 272, ENVR 272, or HIST 272.
Prior to departure, students will engage in general and discipline specific preparation. Upon returning, students will reflect on the impact and value of both the course content and study away experience.
