BUZZER BUMMER: Game-winning three sinks Centurions in 79-78 loss to Delta, but MCC clinches tourney spot

Though the team dropped a heartbreaking buzzer-beater to Delta College, it clinched a berth in the MCCAA tournament.

COMING UP SHORT: Centurions lose tight one, 80-79, to Delta

The loss prevented the Centurions (6-6 MCCAA North, 9-16 overall) from clinching a playoff spot in the MCCAA tournament. The team has two remaining games to do so, however.

After falling behind by a dozen points, the Montcalm Community College Centurions men’s basketball team had a chance to tie at the buzzer, but it fell short.

THREE’S COMPANY: Stout’s 35 points leads Centurions to 91-49 win over Lumberjacks

With the help of Kendal Stout’s hot shooting, the Centurions women’s basketball team handled the Alpena Community College Lumberjacks with a 91-49 win Saturday, Feb. 14.

Women’s bowling team takes fourth, men’s team eighth at MCCAA Tournament

The MCC women’s team finished fourth out of 10 teams while the men’s team placed eighth out of 11 teams at the tournaments.

Nothing cures a funk coming off a loss than a win on the road, which the Centurions men’s basketball did Wednesday, Feb. 11, beating the Muskegon Community College Jayhawks, 79-64.
